This is a family run operation. My daughters and wife help with the pictures, marketing and giving good 'womans touch' advice. My son pitches in with just about everything, from packing & shipping, to harvesting the bamboo.
How did this start? I've been making, modifying & inventing instruments since I was a wee lad.
For most of my life, it was just a hobby. I built instruments for the love of it. As time wore on, I started to take on more and more custom orders from friends. Pan flutes for Xmas presents, PVC didgeridoos, Steel drums made from propane tanks, you name it. It's a very rewarding experience to put all of your creative energy into something, and then to hand it off to somebody to make it come alive.

So, how did I end up doing mostly woodwinds?
Simple. Woodwind instruments are the easiest to make. Just a tube and some holes. Well, that's what I thought when I decided to create a full line to sell to the public. The reality is much different. I have come to respect my fellow flute makers with the highest regard.
It's been a long road, but as I add more and more models to the World Winds line, I hope you can have at least half as much fun playing them as I have had in making them.
I sell these instruments here with the utmost pride and confidence of quality.
Thank you & enjoy!
Luke
