Here's the woodworking table with some
things in varying degrees of creation.


I have about 2,000 flutes worth of

bamboo in stock at any given time.

Stacked according to inner diameter down to the millimeter.

Sounds a bit obsessive, but it just has

to be that way if you want it done right.

 


Here's an example of what the flutes look like before
and after the Aburanuki heat treating process.
Gives it a good color, and makes a harder yet
more flexible wood which minimizes cracking.
I've done the blind fold tests, and the tone really is much better.

 


Everything is done by hand...
sometimes with a little help.


People ask all the time,
"Do you really have all of those quarters in stock?".
Yup, and then some.
